Visit Us

Visiting the mosque

We host a wide variety of dignitaries and guests each year, including those from local and national governments, schools, universities, hospitals, the police, and countless other organisations. The length and focus of the tour can be modified to meet the needs of individual groups.

Please fill out the form below to schedule your visit to the mosque in advance. You can also send an email to info@alrahmah.org.uk to make a reservation. The best time to stop by is between 12pm and 3p.m., Monday through Thursday. Weekend appointments are available if there is availability.

Typically, a visit to a mosque entails the following:

  • A presentation about the Islamic religion in general or, upon request,
  • A presentation on a particular subject
    a tour of the mosque
  • Complex that is led and is accompanied by a faith guide
  • An act of observing one of the daily prayers
  • Questions and Responses
    Activities for groups in schools
  • All guests are given free literature about Islam.
  • Drinks and small snacks are offered

General Rules

All visitors are requested to:

  • Respect the mosque’s worshippers’ right to quiet and quiet prayer.
  • They take off their shoes and put them on the given designated shoe racks.
  • Except in locations that have been designated as eating spaces, avoid bringing food or beverages into the mosque.
  • Don’t bring pets into the mosque.
  • By properly and safely disposing of trash, you can keep the mosque’s courtyard and building clean.
  • Observe the mosque’s general norms, which are posted throughout the structure.
  • There is a no-smoking policy inside and outside the mosque.
  • Please be aware that we reserve the right to end any visit and request visitors to leave the building if we observe any rude or inappropriate behaviour.

 

Modest Dress

  • When attending the mosque, all adults and children over the age of 12 are asked to dress modestly. As long as arms and legs are covered, the majority of school uniform components are acceptable.
  • In order to respect other worshippers or to enhance their personal experience, female guests may cover their heads.
  • Young children under the age of 12 are not regarded as adults and are permitted to dress as they do at school, unless they choose to don hats or scarves or another component of the Muslim dress code for the day to add colour to their visit.

Contributions/Donations:

The mosque welcomes visitors without fee. Donations, however, are always welcome and appreciated because the mosque is a registered charity. We take cash, checks, and money orders. Make checks payable to Al Rahmah Masjid Slough alone.
